Founder and Managing Partner
At Providence, Briton Hill plays a pivotal role in investment selection, due diligence, and the overall management of the firm's operations. He established the firm with a strategic vision to capitalize on the vulnerabilities in the banking sector and to provide essential capital to real estate investors during a critical time. His foresight proved invaluable, as the U.S. experienced significant banking challenges, including its first major bank run in decades and a rapid rise in interest rates. Despite these challenges, Providence's inaugural fund delivered strong returns, positioning it as a standout performer during one of the most challenging market environments in recent history.
Briton began his finance career at Fidelity Investments, where his exceptional investment acumen quickly garnered the attention of seasoned professionals. This led to his recruitment by an investment management firm, where he ascended to the role of President at a Registered Investment Advisory firm in Miami Beach, FL. Under his leadership, the firm rapidly expanded its assets under management to over $150 million, attracting a diverse client base from North America, South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia.
Briton's success as a trader and investor also caught the eye of MarketWise (NASDAQ: MKTW), which appointed him as the editor of Chaikin PowerTrader. In this role, he collaborated with legendary Wall Street investor Marc Chaikin, contributing investment insights that reach hundreds of thousands of investors annually. The role also gave him the opportunity to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
Residing in Northern Utah with his family, Briton is deeply committed to giving back to his community and making a meaningful impact through his philanthropic efforts. This includes his pro bono work as a guest lecturer at Huntsman School of Business, where he teaches courses in the real estate program.
